Previously, James was the co-founder of Brigade, a social network for voters whose mission is to build technology that modernises democracy. Prior to Brigade, James served as President of Facebook Causes, the world’s largest platform for activism with over 200 million users.
Additionally, James sits on the Investment Committee of Tank Stream Ventures and is a mentor at Startmate, Australia’s leading technology accelerator. He also advises a number of US-based technology companies in the real estate, fashion, and finance sectors.
James has been profiled in Entrepreneur Magazine, the Washington Post, and the SF Chronicle, and is a regular speaker at some of the world’s leading marketing and technology conferences, such as Cannes Lion and the Web Summit.
James holds degrees in history and law from the University of Sydney, and a Masters degree in International Trade from Georgetown University. Previously James practised law at Allens Arthur Robinson, and at the World Trade Organisation in Geneva.
